It is due to one’s own mistake that the world continues to be remembered. Whatever keeps coming to memory, that is where the mistakes lie. For a fully enlightened Gnani (One with Knowledge of the Self), the world continues to remain absent from his memory!
Param Pujya Dada BhagwanThe mere environment around the Gnani Purush gives one the experience of liberation (moksha); the world remains absent from memory (vismrut)!
Param Pujya Dada BhagwanWhat is the assurance that one is Vitaraag? The answer is, it is when no worldly things come to memory. Besides attaining a state completely free of worldly attachment and abhorrence (vitaraagata), one cannot forget the world.
Param Pujya Dada BhagwanThe power to be concurrently attentive to a number of activities (avadhaan shakti) is a memory based power. It is in accordance with the intellect. It is the awareness of the intellect! It is not in accordance to the Knowledge of the Self (Gnan). Gnan and avadhaan have nothing to do with one another. Ultimately, the awareness of the Knowledge of the Self will be required.
Param Pujya Dada BhagwanIn Gnan (Knowledge), there is no need for memory. Memory is pudgal (non-Self complex of input and output).
Param Pujya Dada BhagwanDespite indulging in sensual pleasures (vishay), if it does not come to memory, that is known as nirvishay (freedom from all sensual pleasures). One may not be indulging in sensual pleasures, yet if it comes to memory, it is known as vishay.
Param Pujya Dada BhagwanThe objects of consumption (bhog) that we remember result in being consumed repeatedly (upbhog). The objects of consumption that we do not remember do not affect us; the state of being absolutely unaffected (nirlep bhaav) remains.
