The worldly chit (inner component of knowledge and vision) is considered impure chit. Impure chit is mishrachetan (a mixture of the Self and the non-Self). The chit that becomes pure is the shuddha Chetan (pure Self).
Param Pujya Dada BhagwanDharma (Religion) is such a hidden thing that no one can know about it. Dharmadhyan (auspicious contemplation) does not occur by going to temple or reading books. It occurs through where the chit goes.
Param Pujya Dada BhagwanThis is simply a flicker of the eyes. As soon as the eyes lay upon something, the chit (the inner component of knowledge and vision) gets stuck on that! What is the fault of the eyes in that? What is the fault of the mind either? It is only because we are weak that the mind takes over, isn’t it? The fault is indeed our own.
Param Pujya Dada BhagwanIt is such that even the Atma (the Self; the Soul) of a person who is ignorant of the Self (agnani) can remain separate in all the activities of the body. He may be eating here, but he himself [the chit] may be in the office! [However,] He cannot remain separate in the activities of the mind and speech!
Param Pujya Dada BhagwanThe chit (inner component of knowledge and vision) is to be kept in the eternal element [the Self]. It has to be kept in the real form as the Self (Swaroop). Chanting, penance, meditation, yoga, mantra; those are not eternal things. Those are all temporary adjustments. No thing is eternal. The Self alone is eternal. If the chit has set within the Self, then it will not wander! That is when there will be freedom (mukti)!
Param Pujya Dada BhagwanKeep the chit (inner component of knowledge and vision) present in all work. There is no dhyan (internal state of being) that is comparable to that.
