Where there is kashay, there is no samadhi (blissful state that arises when one becomes free from mental, physical, and externally-induced suffering). Where there is samadhi, there is no kashay. The entire world is subject to kashay; one himself (pote) is not subservient to the Self. If one were subservient to the Self, then he would not do such a thing. Why did kashay arise? It is due to ignorance (agnanta)! Why did ignorance arise? Due to the pressure of circumstances!
