There is a big difference between saints, devotees and an Avatar (self-realized Being). Saints and devotees put us on the religious pathway, whereas an Avatar (Gnani) will directly place you before your own soul. He will never ask you to do this or do that, to do merit or demerit karma, to do so much penance, so many fasts, or chant so many times. He understands that talking about doing all these is different. He has reached this stage after doing all that, for endless lives. What remains, what is missing to become one with the Soul, to become the 'Soul'? He, places you on that stage; that is who you call an Avatar (Gnani Purush). Furthermore, saints and devotees are still struggling to reach this stage. We have never been in touch with a real Avatar (Gnani). All these are saints and devotees. They preach about spirituality, about the Gita, about the Upanishads, about the Vedas, or about the Aagams, all of these, but none can make you experience your own soul. They may describe the 'Soul' in words; however, they have never experienced it.
A person who has experienced his own soul is called an Avatar (Gnani). Those who have heard of Shrimad Rajchandra, he was an Avatar (Gnani) of this era, then there was Kundkundacharya many years ago, who was also a real Avatar (Gnani). That was 1800 to 1900 years ago, while it has been over 125 years since Shrimad. Likewise, Dada was also an Avatar (Gnani); we all called him Dada. Dada Bhagwan means, actually the word Dada Bhagwan is not for any person. This photo that you see isn't Dada Bhagwan, when he was alive he always said 'I am not Dada Bhagwan, what you see is not Dada Bhagwan, I am a 'Gnani Purush' known by the name of Ambalal Muljibhai Patel. He does construction work. Dada Bhagwan is within me, the god that has awakened is the lord of all 14 worlds, is Dada Bhagwan. He also resides within all of you'. So in short, our own soul, is God. So many had the misunderstanding that he made others call him Dada Bhagwan or God. If I call myself God, I would have to go to hell, he said, I am not so dumb that I would make myself a God. If you want to call anyone god, call all these others. He resides within you that why he is special. That is why he differentiated with distinction, that what is people's imagination of God. Whether you call it, Ram, Krishna, Mahavir or God, whatever you call it. On coming across the word 'God' people automatically imagine he will be somewhere above us running the world, and we will have to search for him here and there. If I find him, I will do this or I will do that. That is when he clearly said there is nothing out there. The true god resides within you. Furthermore, the two of you are not different. You are one. You are that form. God is you. Your 'Soul' is God ('Supreme Soul'). God is within you, and God is real. Whoever went in search of god within would find god. All those who searched for god outside died whilst still in search of god. Kabir traveled the whole of India searching for god, in every temple, but was not successful. He found a teacher (Guru), Ramdas, who gave him the answer; afterwards Kabir said, 'I believed that god was far away, yet he has always been within my heart. I could not find him due to this curtain of deceit within me, now I know he is within me. ' That is how he experienced his 'Soul', and Dada gave the chance to have this experience and used to say that 'Dada Bhagwan Na Aseem Jay Jay Kaar Ho' that was being said was praising the god within every one of us. It was to be praised you within yourself. This is the ultimate form of praise. Praising the god within others and within you, this is something to be experienced.
Questioner : From my life, if I remove the word 'I' from my life, is it possible to become the form of 'Soul'?
Niruma : What do you mean by the word 'I'?
Questioner : Instead of using 'I', I use a different word or does God do all of this.
Niruma : What if God does not do this?
Questioner : And if I replace the word 'I'?
Niruma : Yes but with that who becomes the doer. If you get rid of the word 'I', nothing is achieved, you have to get the realization of 'Who Am I' and that god does not do this. However if god does not do this then the blame is wrongly placed on God. In Kutch, this massive earthquake happened, if God had done this then God would have received such a big blame. How many people were killed; how much fault would we have burdened God with. Do you understand?
Questioner : Yes, Yes.
Niruma : That is why you have to understand this exact Gnan (Knowledge). Even if you leave it 'up in the air', how much is yours? Even if you go to take it away, until it reaches your internal understanding, until then 'Who Am I' won't be understood, until then you wont have any success. Only by experiencing 'Soul' will success come, you will not then have any problems. With this experience, with understanding you will get the result. That is, I am not the doer, who is the doer in real terms, and actually, God is not the doer. Whatever comes in your life or whatever happens in the world, Other than that, the doer is neither you nor is it God.
