A beautiful son with a golden glow, a halo and a mark of the Taurus on his body, was born to Queen Satyaki. Queen Satyaki was a beautiful and highly cultured wife of Shri Shreyans, king of Pundarikgini in Mahavideh kshetra. Mahavideh kshetra is 193,950,000 kilometers north of our universe and is one of the fifteen planes of Jambudhwip.

The deities celebrated the birth of this beautiful child. All the gods and goddess, accompanied by King Indra rushed to get a darshan of this Supreme Soul, who was born with three kinds of knowledge, matignan, shurtagnan and avadhignan. He was given the name of Shree Simandhar.

His birth brought to the King and his subjects plenty of prosperity. His parents spared nothing in educating and spiritually enlightening him. He absorbed and assimilated everything he learnt. He grew up to be 500 dhanush tall, a normal height of a man in Mahavideh Kshetra.

While living a worldly life fulfilling his obligations, Shri Simandhar Swami incessantly nourished the idea of, ‘How can I liberate this world from the shackles of birth and death?’ This spirit of His bore its fruit during the time between the 20th Tirthankar, Muni Suvrat Swami and the auspicious birth of the 21st Tirthankar, Shree Neminathji in Bharat Kshetra. In the wake of maturity of His deeds from His previous lives, a momentous occasion arose where He offered Himself for the initiatory ceremony of renunciation. The initiation illumined in Him the fourth knowledge - manah paryay gnan. Until that moment, for one thousand years, He lived in the world, a pure life, withdrawn within, discharging his past deeds. Thereafter he annihilated the remaining four-ghati karmas and attained Supreme Spiritual status of Keval Gnani and Keval darshani. His attainment of Keval Gnan became instrumental in liberating crores of people. Even a glimpse of Him led countless living beings to the path of liberation. Not only this, they also attained Samyak darshan and Keval darshan.

After the nirvan of the 8th Tirthankar Shree Uday Swami and before the auspicious birth of the 9th Tirthankar Shree Pedhar Swami of the coming cycle, Shri Simandhar Swami and other 19 Thirthankars, at present traversing in Mahavideh Kshetra, will complete their lifespan of 4 lakh years and attain nirvan.

He currently traverses in Mahavideh Kshetra. He is Absolute and Omniscient, Supreme God, the Lord of fourteen cosmic spheres (chauda loka) and illumines the entire universe.

A direct link with Lord Shri Simandhar Swami, even in this age, from this kshetra (universe) is still possible. The Self-Realized souls can establish a direct link and also make us do so. In the past Bhagwan Shree Kundkundacharya and Shrimadh Rajchandra indicated this path. The Gnani Purush Shree Dada Bhagwan, was also in constant communication with Shri Simandhar Swami and has established the path to liberation for all seeking the same.

It is doubtlessly best to remember the Tirthankars of the past at the same time, it is better than the best to remember and worship the Living Tirthankar of today, Shri Simandhar Swami.
