How to Live in the Present and Be Happy

“Enjoy what is present in front of you. Do not worry about that which is not present.” - Param Pujya Dadashri

Everybody advises us to live in the present, but nobody has taught us how to do it. We are consumed by time, while the Gnani Purush has conquered time. He can teach us how to live in the moment.

The past is gone and to think about the future is to worry. You do not have to forget the past; you just have to remain in the present by experiencing that which is before you and thus you will stop living in the past.

You may think that it is too hypothetical a concept to apply in practical life. To that, Gnani Purush Param Pujya Dadashri gives a very persuasive simile. While you are counting money, you have undivided attention towards it and nothing else goes on in your mind. Imagine that you are asked to walk on a mile-long narrow bridge over the deep sea, you would be completely focused. This means that you have the power of focused awareness to live in the present. You just need to apply it!

Param Pujya Dadashri Himself had an awareness through which He was able to live in the present in each second, and He has opened a path for us to follow His footsteps.
