Vishwa Darshan To Arjuna

Questioner: Lord Krishna had shown the universal vision (vishwa darshan) to Arjuna? What is it?
Dadashri: That vishwa darshan is not the same as Atma gnan (knowledge of the Self). So many are born, die and are born again. This is how everyone is caught up in the time cycle, therefore there is no one that kills or gives or spares life (creator, sustainer, destroyer). “Therefore Dear Arjuna, the moha (the illusion) that attaches you to doer ship, that You are ‘doing’ the killing is wrong, so let it go.” For this Lord Krishna showed him a violent and a very frightful scene; he showed Arjuna a vast picture wherein everyone is dead. Upon beholding this, Arjuna was shaken up, but as he understood everything, he became ready to fight. Then the Lord showed Arjuna the tranquil state of the Self. In all this vast scene (virat swaroop) that the Lord had ‘seen’ Himself, is what He had shown to Arjuna and that is what ‘we’ call Scientific Circumstantial Evidence.

It is Scientific Circumstantial Evidence even when your pocket gets picked, you will not have any anxieties or desires when you understand this. Knowing and understanding Scientific Circumstantial Evidence will not create illusion (moha). The inspiration from within, makes everything move forward. All these inner components of mind, intellect, chit and ego,  as well as all that meets the eye and the senses, everything that goes on the outside; are ‘machineries’ which run according to Scientific Circumstantial Evidence

Physical And Spiritual Devotion

Questioner: I would like to know; you've said that the ‘path of knowledge’ is attained by getting ‘knowledge’ of your ‘soul’ form, only then will you have attained self realization and afterwards obtained ‘salvation (moksha)’. So on the ‘path of devotion’, what way do you follow to attain ‘knowledge’ of your ‘soul’ and achieve ‘salvation (moksha)’?

Pujya Niruma: He’s talking about the ‘path of devotion’, uncle. In devotion, there are two types of devotion, physical devotion and spiritual devotion. You can’t attain realization of your ‘soul’ with physical devotion, but it'll give us peace. It binds good karma; it’ll give you a higher form of ‘soul’, it’ll give worldly physical happiness. Physical devotion is devotion without understanding. Who we ‘know’ … say its Lord Krishna who we pray to, we pray to him without really knowing him. Without realizing his real form. The form we’ve been praying to, up to now, has all been in our imagination. But the true form was shown when Lord Krishna and Arjuna met up and, during the Mahabharata battle, Lord Krishna himself said to Arjuna before his ‘gita’ dialogue, that the form that you see me as and know me as, is not my true form. Now tell me, they stayed together night and day; they were that close, yet he still had to tell Arjuna, that you don’t know me. Now tell me, wasn’t Arjuna’s devotion without knowing Lord Krishna’s true form. No man is going to know his true form, five thousand years later, that’s why its devotion without understanding is called physical devotion, which has limits. Spiritual devotion is devotion with understanding. With understanding is what? Lord Krishna gave Arjuna the understanding of his true form, that I am not this bodily form; my true form is ‘soul’, so you should realize your ‘soul’ form, then worship that form, for that’s true spiritual devotion and from that you’ll attain self realization, after which there’s this.

Questioner: Whilst doing devotion, if you’ve blind faith in it. In what devotion everyone does they’ll have blind faith towards any god. However for us, what you were talking about, that you experience; in this way, by questioning, you’ll gain experiences. I’ll give an example, in my life, I’ve had an experience, I don’t know how it happened whether I had blind faith in my devotion for them, which we do. That’s how blind faith … and when you question to the Lord, he replies ‘do like this’.

Pujya Niruma: that’s a different thing; the kind of realization you are talking about, that and self-realization are two completely different things.

Questioner: I know they’re completely different, but aren’t these all the same kind of thing …

Pujya Niruma: yes, but blind faith gives us all the answers, it talks to us. That’s the fruits of our blind faith … like Narsinh Mehta, who did so much devotion to Lord Krishna. He gave his all, he even used to talk to him as well as send promissory notes, still ultimately for Lord Krishna … what about Lord Krishna? What did Narsinh Mehta say? ‘All the religious practices are false until you find your true self’. If talk of self-realization comes, then what he say is true, and my falsehood led me to disagree with this, that’s why these ‘railway lines’ are different. Do this, like I’ve said, what you’re doing is correct, it isn’t wrong, from this you’ll get a lot of enlightenment, but this is all in ‘relative’ terms, it isn’t in ‘real’ terms, there isn’t talk of this when it comes to talking about the ‘soul’.

Questioner: in reality, I’d like to know what reality is …

Pujya Niruma: yes, that’s in reality if you worship Lord Krishna or any other god that you believe in, know the true pure form, their ‘soul’ form, know your own ‘soul’ form, that his ‘soul’ and my ‘soul’ … in the ‘soul’ form there isn’t any difference, stay in that awareness. This is one of the ultimate ‘points’. You’ve to remain in that form. That pure form needs to be known, that it’s inside of you, just like it’s in all the other people that worship god. When you experience this, you’ll have the true definition of realization.

Questioner: in life, if you don’t have a ‘teacher’, don’t like religion; don’t have any blind faith, in that time in your life if something goes wrong what should you do?

Pujya Niruma: then you need to have a ‘teacher’. Whose question is this? However, get a ‘teacher’ with understanding. Do it with understanding. Before getting a ‘teacher’, first put them through at least one hundred different ‘sieves’, get to know them, then do it. Once you have done it, don’t regret it.

Questioner: finding a ‘teacher’ is very difficult, because where can you find one? To become a ‘student’ you need to spend money to get a ‘teacher’.

Pujya Niruma: that is not what you call a ‘teacher’.

Questioner: where do I go to find one?

Pujya Niruma: a ‘teacher’ is a guide, they guide you through religion, step by step and they make us enlightened in religion.

Questioner: those types of ‘teachers’ are very rare, like you; there are only one or two, so where do I go?

Pujya Niruma: then don’t get a ‘teacher’. Out of the thousands when you find the one or two then only get a ‘teacher’ ;( everybody laughs) otherwise, it’s good you don’t have one. Until then, you should live a virtuous life. Give no one any pain, if you do, then heartily ask for forgiveness and that’s your religion, one very true religion. Also, we don’t become a ‘teacher’ to anybody. Because we remain in our ‘soul’ and we give everyone his or her ‘soul’ form. Then when in your ‘soul’, who’s whose ‘teacher’? What is more, who’s whose ‘student’? There’s nothing beyond this. Then your ‘soul’ becomes your ‘supreme teacher’. We awaken the ‘soul’ form within in two hours. Your awakened ‘soul’ will give you systematic enlightenment; it’ll guide you step by step. For as long as it’s awake, it’ll chase away the ‘complete darkness’. That’s why we do this for you, to awaken the god within; it’s the definitive supreme teacher that resides within.

Questioner: that is, we’ve to become strong minded, and whatever we want to do, we’ve to think about it before doing it.

Pujya Niruma: with the mind … you do that already because you’ve to do that and ultimately you need to realize your ‘soul’, ultimately. Finally, come tomorrow and get realization from me, then the god within will become your definitive ‘teacher’, it’ll show you everything.
