He always used to say, “I am simply instrumental and not the doer of what you are achieving. This is a science; it is the science of the Soul. Here, there is no separation; there are no sects, ranks, rank owners, gurus or disciples. I live in the Soul and within one hour make you live in the soul too. Then who will be guru to whom and who will be the disciple to whom?

The most revered Dadashri traveled from town to town, in cities and villages, in different countries; wherever He went, he spoke only about the Soul. His spiritual enlightenment flowed through his speech eighteen hours of the day and night. In very simple words He enlightened people on the subject of ‘How to live life?’ He gave them a clear and concise understanding which became effective immediately. He transformed the lives of the listeners! His style was plain and simple, in the language of the native Charotar village. Accepted by all, His words, filled with the power of speech, pierced through the most illiterate of the illiterates and the most learned of the all learned, alike. His smile an eternal aura of a liberated one, was His exclusive ornate trait. In His eyes beamed the sheer radiance of pure vitraagta; in Him attachment or abhorrence or the kashayas of anger, pride, greed or deceit were never seen.

If one were to examine His life, it was about nothing other than the Absolute Soul. His principle was that his life’s sustenance and maintenance must be from His own earnings. Charity cannot be taken; it would pollute the intellect.

He would tell everyone, “I have not come to make you a devotee; I have come to make you God. You have been a devotee for infinite past lives. For just once you should acquire the status of God. You yourself are the supreme being; the Absolute Soul.” Dadashri never gave lectures or discourses, his satsangs were conducted in a question-answer format. Many books of his satsangs have been meticulously compiled topic-wise by His resident pupil, the honorable Dr. Niruben Amin. These books carry the dialogues between Dadashri and aspirants desirous of Self realization and curious about the Soul. Dr. Niruben Amin never missed recording in an audio-cassette, whatever Dadashri spoke in satsangs. All these books are in plain and simple native language. They carry many succinct keys for every day living, such as ‘Adjust everywhere’, ‘Fault is of the sufferer’, ‘See the world as faultless’, ‘Avoid clashes’. Thousands have adapted these ‘keys’ in their every day life’s interactions and find them invaluable as they experience peace and happiness.

Dadashri had wished that His books to reach schools and colleges. He even used to say that His books will reach schools and college and become part of their curriculum. Today, Dada’s wish has come true. For example the Commissioner of Higher Education of Gujarat state and the Library Controller offices have published a special correspondence wherein a grant has been approved to place Dada Bhagwan’s books in the libraries of every middle school all over Gujarat. This is the first spiritual institution that is given such a grant by the Gujarat Government.

The following represent the growth in the activities of Dadashri’s project of world’s happiness and salvation, a spiritual center of Dada Bhagwan has been established in the heart of Ahmedabad, on the bank of the Sabarmati River. In the town of Adalaj, a huge and magnificent non-sectarian Tri-Mandir temple has been erected. Included the temple complex are a gigantic satsang hall, a health center, a residence for young disciples, a boarding house, a rest home for the elderly and a residential school. In this school, provisions are made for a library and an audio-video room. Teachings of a culture of impartiality are integral in the school’s curriculum.

The inspiration behind the Trimandir comes from Dadashri’s intent to break the restricting boundaries of partiality practiced by various religious sects in our country and to free people from their biases. These temples are built as per Dadashri’s inspiration and are temples of impartiality. In these temples, not only is there a temple of Lord Simandhar Swami but also a temple of Lord Krishna and Lord Shiva; hence the name Tri Mandir (three temples).
