The following is an excerpt from a satsang between Niruma (Atma Gnani-Self-Realized Guru) and a seeker.
Niruma: Things that can be changed, cannot be eternal. They are not permanent things. Your true Self never changes…you are always there. Other things are constantly changing. You are there all the time witnessing everything. Witnessing everything from you young age, your childhood all the way to your death. You are there as the knower. The knower never changes. You are the knower and the owner. You are not temporary. Everything else, this William, your body, your thoughts, your speech etc., everything keeps changing. From the morning till night, thousands of thoughts come and go, come and go, right? Not a single thought stands still or is permanent. All that changes is not permanent; it ends and therefore they are not the true or real things. Real means eternal and eternal things cannot be changed by anything or anyone. Everything else changes; your thoughts, your speech, your body; they are constantly changing. Your speech too is not permanent, is it? Then your body, it too changes. Your body now is different from what it was when you were a child. Right now it is different, it will be different in your old age and it will be different in the coffin also. Right?
Questioner: Yeah.
Niruma: Your real Self is not different; you have always been the same. This part, which never changes is your true self. And this is what you have to realize. Do you understand? You should be aware of ‘I am not this temporary thing (the physical body) but I am eternal; that is my real Self’. This is what you have to find out and realize. So wherever you say ‘my, my, my…for example ‘my body’ ‘my mind’ ‘my speech’ ‘my ego’ ‘my intellect’ etc. You can’t say ‘I am body, I am intellect, I am ego, I am speech, I am mind’. The ‘I’ (that says ‘my body’) is totally different from the ‘my’. ‘My mind, my speech…’ these are all belongings of ‘I’. You are that ‘I’; the ‘I’ is your true self. That ‘I’ is an eternal thing, it is an eternal element and its properties are it is the knower and the perceiver. It is full of knowledge and bliss. All the time you can experience the bliss from within. This is all permanent; it is not temporary. Do you understand what I am saying? Do you understand?
So there are different paths to realize ‘who am ‘I’?’ Just as I had mentioned in the beginning meditation or worshipping someone or other rituals where you are making efforts, people do these efforts believing they can achieve this knowledge. But you can only achieve this realization through true knowledge, real knowledge not relative knowledge. Temporary knowledge will not do, you need permanent knowledge of the eternal thing. That is real knowledge and it is completely different from the knowledge you are having right now, do you understand? It is possible to get this knowledge in a very short time because this path of Akram Vignan that Dadashri has given to us, is a short-cut path to realize the ‘I’.
The spiritual path of akram vignan is the immediate path to self realization founded by the enlightened gnani purush Dadashri, This spiritual path offer the spiritual seeker a quick way to spiritual enlightenment in a unprecedented way that never has been offered before.
