Who is the 'Doer '?

The multimedia show entitled “Who is the doer” compels the viewer to think about how this world works and who is the doer behind all occurrences. More over it questions how much control we have over our lives. If one fully understands the secret behind how this world works, then all confusions will dissolve.

Glimpse of "Who is Doer ?"

Have you ever had the thought, ‘why I do not find success in life despite all my efforts? Why do my wife and children give me such a hard time? Why do my friends and business partners deceive me?  So then are they really capable of doing all that independently? Do they wish to do that deliberately?  Or are there some other forces working behind them?

This theme portrays the science behind the formation of a rainbow to explain who the real doer in this world is. There is no mystery behind it; there is science behind it.  So many circumstances; so many things have to come together for a rainbow to appear. These circumstances include the sun, clouds, steam, rain and the viewer. You see a rainbow when all these circumstances come together.

No one circumstance works independently to do any work, your presence is also one of the circumstances needed to do that work.  Have you ever the thought while making tea, ‘How many circumstances must have been working behind making this cup of tea that I have’? Will the work succeed if one of the evidences were missing? You only need to understand this much and that is: ‘no one is an independent doer in this world; one is only an instrumental doer.’  A doer has to inevitably face the consequences of his doer-ship.  If one does good deeds, then he will enjoy happiness as a result and if he does bad deeds, he has to endure suffering.

Similarly, everything that occurs in our lives is nothing but one event after another.  The force of one event will lead to another event; the force of this event will lead to a third event. In this way you experience many events, but there is no one entity a sole independent doer in it. It is only because of ignorance one does the ego of ‘I did’ or ‘he did it’ and this creates a cycle of attachment and aversion, which binds karmas and perpetuates the cycle of birth and death. Why should we then become trapped in this cycle of circumstances? Why should we blame anyone as being the culprit in all this?  Why should we destroy our precious life in doing so? We are all simply instrumental in all this and we should live life conducting ourselves accordingly.  We simply have to understand that the ‘doer’ is only scientific circumstantial evidences and that is what runs this world. If we were to completely understand this mystery, would we then have any problems in our life?
